2010 Grilled Cheese Kings and Queen

Lily

Lily Beck deserves to be 2010's grilled cheese queen because all she eats is American cheese anyway, any style. Lily deserves to be queen because it is her number 1 favorite choice for any meal. Lily loves grilled cheese so much she can tell you if you put too many slices and how many slices of cheese on her and sandwich.

Scott

Dear Judges,

I have been waiting until my son was old enough to nominate him as your grilled cheese king.  He turned five in December and I think the time has come.  My Son Scott is the ULTIMATE  grilled cheese king EVER!  His first solid food was grilled cheese at your shop and he has been eating them ever since.  If it was up to him,  he would eat grilled cheese for breakfast, lunch  and dinner.  His nick name is skittle the Grill Cheese king.  He loooooves your grilled cheese sandwiches and his dream some day is to have a grilled cheese pizza...that is how much he loves it.  It would be an honor to name Scott your grill cheese king....he is ours!

Sincerely,

Natalie Schreiner

Edward

Hello,

I would like to nominate my dad,Edward Parriski, to be a Grilled Cheese King.First, my dad recently retired from the military. While in the military, he had high honors, he was a Msgt and all of his troops liked him. He led a ton of big missions and everybody respected him. My dad has also been to 31 different countries, most of them before I was born, but when he had to leave after I was born, I missed him but I knew he was protecting me and our country. Another reason I think he should be the King is he has a great sense oh humor, he is always joking around...like the other day he let our dog lick the plate after breakfast right after my mom had just finished saying how she hates that, it was relly funny and my mom even laughed. My dad also uses a lot  of big words. A couple of weeks ago he was explaing the school budget to me when he said "There's a lot of consternation over the budget..." I took the word "Consternation" into my teacher to use as a buzzword and she had never even heard the word! In addition to humor and a wide vocabulary my dad (almost) always know what he talking about. Anytime I have a question, about anything, my dad could lecture me for an hour.He usually doesn't talk that long, because I get bored and stop paying attetion, but he could. My dad knows a lot about history, geography, current events, world issues, math and writing. He has helpped me with numerous reports, essays, and projects. Besides knowing a lot and being humorus, my dad is always there for me. I know I can talk to him about anything. Though it may be uncomfortable at times (I'm a thirteen year old girl) I know I could talk and he would listen and do his best to help me. Even when I'm going on and on about how Katie is getting on my nerves and I don't like Margo, he listens and he gives me wise advice. (Later, I usually share his advice with my friends) My dad is also there for me when I'm going through tough times with cheerleading and gymnastics. A couple years ago I was so excited that I got to be the center flyer in the ending pyramid, when some whinny girl took it away from me my dad told me "It's okay,we don't always get what we want but if you work hard then next year you might get it " and when I couldn't get my backhandspring my dad kept encouraging me and telling me how I could improve.

I could go on and on telling you all of my stories about how great my dad is and why he deserves to hold the honor. I think he's awesome and I would choose him to be the Grilled Cheese King, but it's not up to me. I hope you can see how much my dad means to me and choose him, Edward Parriski to be crowned the Grilled Cheese King,  Thanks in advance,

Sincerely,

Irene P
