No No No
Look, I’ve worked the kids at practice.
And wiped a thousand runny noses,
This week cleaned a hundred soccer balls
And blessed a billion bruises.
But I took the kids there last Wednesday
And I listened to them yell.
I got covered in sticky whatnot
And lived through interminable hell.
I was hit with a flying cherry,
While cleaning up Brian’s sauerkraut.
So many screaming kids with goodies;
Senses knotted as I heard them shout:
“I want this!” … “No I want that!”
Make up your mind – Sundae, Dog or Split?
Yes it’s true … the food does come
And kids actually for a moment sit.
My eardrums now have come back,
And my back now turns without pain,
But I did my duty last Wednesday,
So friend, it is not my time again.
I don’t believe your strange disease.
Sorry, but your begging must stop
It is not my turn to take the team
For the aftergame … at the Pop Shop

| Sarah’s too young for grilled cheese
Ahh Sarah, Sarah, Sarah.
What it must be to just be three.
Ahh Colleen, Colleen, Colleen
At six, there is so much to see.
Colleen takes the Pop Shop menu,
Carefully reads it in Sarah’s ear.
Of course Sarah thinks she knows it all,
Impatiently leaning over to hear.
But for every item Colleen details,
“No” says Sarah “I want other stuff.”
Colleen insists what Sarah will like;
But Sarah just gives her tons of guff
So Colleen, wise beyond her years,
Says “Sarah can’t have grilled cheese”.
Mad Sarah replies “Why not I can’t?”
And Colleen’s face grows stern with tease
“Because little Sarah’s just too young.”
“I am not!” she screams ”I’m older than two.”
“Okay, okay,” Colleen laughs fake dismay,
“We’ll get the grilled cheese for growed-up you.”

Grilled Cheese 1 She makes it like mom
Lots of cheese, and glass of milk
My favorite food ever!

She dips it in soup
Enjoying every single bite
Now it is gone, finished

Pop Shop
Brilliant food, Creative drinks
Ice cream sundaes of brown white and pink
People come in, People go out
The same people leave, with out any doubt
They have tasty meals
With perfect price deals
They’ve got more than ten great types of grilled cheese
The waiters are skilled and they serve you with ease
That Pop-Shop’s the place for people to rest
Compared to the others, the Pop-Shop’s the best

The Love of My Life
I love grilled cheese, One day we’ll get married And name our first born… Larry We’ll move to a cottage in Ireland, Made of stone and all covered in moss Who cares how much it costs? I’ll be with my love inside a pub, On the corner of Brookebank and Shire There we’ll retire, my grilled cheese and me But then I’ll get hungry and to my stomach I’ll plee: “Please, no! Stop growling” No use, I’ll begin prowling… I NEED something to eat … And, alas the end of my story, For the rest is far too gory.

Ode To Grilled Cheese
Oh how I love Grilled Cheese
Oh how I love It So
Whether it be with lemonade
Or with A Hot Cup Of Joe
I love Grilled Cheese
I eat it everyday
The Pop Shop Makes It the Best
I hope It Never Goes Away
I absolutley adore grilled Cheese
You May Think This To Be a Joke
But This Is definitely Not A Lie
It's Even More Smashing With A Yummy Chocolate Coke
I like To eat Grilled Cheese Every Where
Wheather it be at school
Sewing with a pink spool
Even Spinning On The Pop Shop's Comfy Stools
When Your Feeling Lonely Or just plain Blue
To turn That from Upside Down
I have a great Clue For You
Go To the Pop Shop For The Best Food In Town!

| When you’re hungry and want something to eat, It’s off to the popshop, oh what a treat. If you’re looking for something that’s sure to please, Shoot up to the popshop and try their grilled cheese. There are so many different varieties to choose, Give each one a try, you have nothing to lose. There are sodas galore such as chocolate coke. There is so much to choose from and that is no joke. When you’re at the Pop Shop you won’t have a care. You can sit at the counter and spin on a chair. So grab a friend and swing on by. It is so much fun, come give it a try. This poem is over, I’ve had so much fun! After all of those calories I must go take a run! From Alyson Weightman, Collingswood Middle School, Mrs. Verdone's 7th grade Language Arts Class

At the Pop Shop
My memories flood back to the day
Of Bebop at the Hop
The jukebox would play
My pop is better than your pop
The children would say
Pop-Pop Fizz-Fizz Pop-Pop
A commercial would replay
While I sip on my soda pop
I come back to today
So I can linger longer I add an ice cream to my tab
And relive my oldies memories at the Pop Shop!
