Enter our Signature Sundae Contest!
Fans of The Pop Shop’s awesome and outrageous ice cream sundaes now have an opportunity to create their own Signature Sundae and win a year’s worth of ice cream!
ENTER THE SIGNATURE SUNDAE CONTEST: Simply submit your signature sundae recipe and sundae name to The Pop Shop by September 8, 2008. Winning sundaes will be judged on creativity, taste, and name. The winning recipe must be able to be recreated at The Pop Shop.
Send contest entry to The Pop Shop, 729 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108 or submit on-line at thepopshopcafe@aol.com. Include your name, age, address, e-mail address, and your recipe name and ingredients.
Two winners – one child and one adult – will be selected. The winners will be invited to be Jerks of the Month in September and will receive a regular sundae or cone of their choice at The Pop Shop once a month — every month — for a year! The winning sundaes will be added to the ice cream menu during The Pop Shop’s third year celebration, September 15 through September 21.
About National Ice Cream Month and The Pop Shop!
In 1984, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month and the third Sunday of the month as National Ice Cream Day (July 20 this year.). In the proclamation, President Reagan called for all people of the United States to observe these events with "appropriate ceremonies and activities." The Pop Shop, your neighborhood soda fountain and more, observes and celebrates ice cream everyday!

Jerk of the Month: Customers apply to earn the coveted title of Jerk of the Month. This honorary soda jerk is given the opportunity to “work” behind our soda fountain and “jerk” free sodas or shakes for 5 of his/her friends plus free dinner, an official soda jerk hat, Pop Shop T-shirt and honorary Soda Jerk status. Be our Jerk of the Month!

Three Year Anniversary Celebration

Can't believe The Pop shop hasn't "always" been here? It's true - we opened our doors September 21, 2005 and life (at least for us) hasn't been the same since! Here's how we're celebrating our third anniversary.

Kids Karaoke Night!
Move over American Idol! Come to Kids Karaoke Night at The Pop Shop in for a full winter schedule of singing, music, and fun!. Super star kids from all over the Delaware Valley are invited to come belt their favorite tunes karaoke-style. Adults are invited to perform as well. A suggested $1 donation per song will be donated to the Ritz Theatre on Oaklyn to support their children’s theatre outreach program.
Kid's Karaoke is held the last Wednesday of each month from 4:00 until 8:30 pm.

Halloween Party
Start celebrating Halloween early! The Pop Shop invites all area ghouls and boys to join us on Thursday, October 30 for yummy treats and a few tricks!
All throughout the day, costumed kids under the age of 14 and accompanied by their parents will receive:

…A Halloween activity at your table
Join in our hourly indoor costume promenade!
Come for breakfast, lunch or dinner or all three! “They look so darn cute in those costumes,” says co-owner Connie Correia Fisher, “why not show ‘em off more than once!”

Get Caught Doing Your Homework!
Simply put — do your homework at The Pop Shop and you’ll get a coupon for a future free cone. Either redeem the coupon on your next visit or collect five coupons and turn them in for a free sundae of your choice. (Does not include The GrandPop.)
Soda fountains used to be “THE” hangout for preteens and teens. From the turn of the century and through to the 1960s, almost every small town main street boasted a soda fountain counter which served as a social gathering place for people of all ages. Kids spun round and round on the brightly colored stools. Teenagers spent countless hours sipping a malted milkshakes and feeding the jukebox. Kids knew that they were welcome to sip a milkshake and hang with friends and parents knew where their kids were and that they were safe. Collingswood is lucky to have such a place — The Pop Shop.
