Fifth Anniversary Events!
September 20, 2010 marks the fifth year anniversary of The Pop Shop, Collingswood’s retro diner/soda fountain. To celebrate and thank their customers, owners Stink Fisher and Connie Correia Fisher will hold variety of free and fun events.
EAT FOUR – TAKE THE FIFTH: Every day in September
During September, each customer who eats four meals at The Pop Shop (a meal is defined as an entrée and beverage) will receive a fifth FREE meal in October. Customers will be issued a punch card which must be surrendered to receive the free meal. Not valid for meals purchased during special promotional events.
KIDS EAT FREE: September 7 through September 9 – all day
Back to school time is exhausting… forms to fill out, new schedules, homework! Who has time to cook? Give yourself a break, bring the kids to The Pop Shop and their entree is free. For kids 16 and under ordering off the Squirt menu. Does not include beverage or dessert. Fun FREE activities, too, from Bon Bon's Parties:

NATIONAL GRANDPARENTS DAY: Sunday, September 12 – all day
The Pop Shop is a secret hangout of many grandparents and grandkids. We appreciate all grands and invite them to our Grandparent’s Pajama Party. Every pajama-clad grandmother or grandfather will receive a free entree (does not include beverages or side dishes) when accompanied by a paying grandchild. The pajama party will last all day so grandparents can choose from breakfast, lunch, or dinner. PJ’s must be matching top and bottom pajama sets or nightgowns. Sweat suits, shorts and T-shirts, and similar apparel do not qualify.
FIVE DOLLAR LUNCH: September 13 through September 17 – from 11 to 3pm

CRAZY HAT DAY: Friday, September 10 – all day
Because we still remember the crazy days of trying to open The Pop Shop or maybe because we were crazy to open a restaurant… either way you win! Wear a crazy hat (or any hat) to The Pop Shop and receive $2.00 off your order of $10.00 or more. ULTIMATE POP QUIZ: Monday, September 20 from 7:30 to 9pm
“Pop Quiz,” a bar-style competitive team trivia game for adults held Mondays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Hosted by “Dr. Know-It-All,” quiz players test their knowledge of a variety of subjects in a multiple-round question-and-answer format. Full menu is available and guests may BYO. For our anniversary, tonight’s winning team will receive $105 dollars in cold hard cash!
PAJAMA PARTY DAY: Tuesday, September 21 – all day
All pajama-clad patrons — kids and adults — will receive a free breakfast entrée (does not include beverages or side dishes). Cartoons will be playing on our big TV. PJ’s must be matching top and bottom pajama sets. Sweat suits, shorts and T-shirts, and similar apparel do not qualify. Breakfast is served all day so the pajama party will last all day! (For those who miss Pajama Party Day, every Saturday morning The Pop Shop hosts a rip-roaring Pajama Party for kids and their parents. Each pajama-clad kid, when accompanied by a paying adult, receives a free breakfast! )
FREE SUNDAE DAY SPONSORED BY BASSETTS: Wednesday, September 22 from 12 to 7pm
Sponsored by Bassetts Ice Cream, The Pop Shop will be giving away free make-your-own-sundaes! This event is by invitation only for our Pop Club members. FAMILY DANCE PARTY with Miss Marcia from Kids Music Round and Bon Bon: Thursday, September 23 from 11:30 to 1:30 and from 5:30 to 7:30 in the Pop Shop Party Room

Cooking School at The Pop Shop
The Pop Shop is the place for family-friendly dining and now a hot spot for family friendly cooking. “Cooking at The Pop Shop” classes include generous sampling and take home recipes and are held in The Pop Shop’s new banquet space – Pop Shop Party! The emphasis for children’s classes is healthy, hands-on recipes that kids can make themselves. Adults classes focus on delicious and do-able dishes.

Kids Karaoke Night!
Move over American Idol! Come to Kids Karaoke Night at The Pop Shop in for a full schedule of singing, music, and fun!
Karaoke night is held the last Wednesday of every month from 4:30 to 8:30 in our party room and is professionally hosted by DJ's Available. Kids and their families are invited to belt out their favorite songs Karaoke-style or just sing along with Miley, Taylor Swift and the Jonas Brothers. Line dances and surprises, too!

Pop Quiz!
Team Trivia Every Monday Night
Grab the three smartest people you know and put on your thinking caps for a rousing night of brain-teasing trivia and savory snacks. Come to “Pop Quiz,” a bar-style competitive team trivia game held every Monday from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Guests will test their knowledge of a variety of subjects—including popular culture, sports, current events, and music—in a multiple-round question-and-answer format. This interactive evening centers on lively banter, terrible puns, and a different musical interlude between every round of questions. In addition to elusive bragging rights, teams have a chance to win Pop Shop gift certificates and merchandise.
“‘Pop Quiz’ is a great opportunity for first-time guests of The Pop Shop to sample our award-winning menu and colorful atmosphere,” says co-owner Stink Fisher. “Bring a bottle of wine or a six-pack, sample our ‘bar’ menu, and see how you stack up against our local trivia buffs. Come as a group or team up to make new friends.”

Saturday Morning Pajama Party!
Kids — wear your PJ’s to The Pop Shop on Saturday mornings and your breakfast is free! (Does not include beverages. Child must be accompanied by a paying adult.)

Simply put — do your homework at The Pop Shop and you’ll get a coupon for a future free cone. Either redeem the coupon on your next visit or collect five coupons and turn them in for a free sundae of your choice. (Does not include The GrandPop.)
Soda fountains used to be “THE” hangout for preteens and teens. From the turn of the century and through to the 1960s, almost every small town main street boasted a soda fountain counter which served as a social gathering place for people of all ages. Kids spun round and round on the brightly colored stools. Teenagers spent countless hours sipping a malted milkshakes and feeding the jukebox. Kids knew that they were welcome to sip a milkshake and hang with friends and parents knew where their kids were and that they were safe. Collingswood is lucky to have such a place — The Pop Shop.
